Consider this your invitation to Wrong Party! In this delightfully quirky draft-style card game, compete with your friends to create the GGLOAT—that is, the Greatest Guest List of All Time—by choosing from a variety of mismatched characters and party themes. Will you host the perfect party or kill the vibe?
What happens when you invite a Baby, your Dentist, a Drug-Sniffing Dog, and a Mall Santa to Slay a Dragon? And what Murder Mystery Party would be complete without a Proud Mom of an Honor Roll Student and a Cult Leader butting heads? If the front row of your Royal Wedding doesn’t feature a Killer Clown, are you really doing it right?
In Wrong Party, players earn points by matching a wide range of characters to different Party Themes while actively sabotaging their opponents. Send cards to your Party Area or Uninvited Guests pile, and then pass on the rest of your hand to the next player. Once your Party Area is full, it’s time to count up your points. The player with the most points after 3 rounds wins the game. Don’t let your party flop!
You probably guessed that children would show up to a Birthday Party, but did you realize that a Slaying the Dragon Party comes with its own background music? Each Party Theme card shows three symbols representing that Party Theme’s attributes that Party Guests may Like or Dislike. These attributes include: Talking, Fighting, Food, Music, Games, Drinks, Late Nights, and Children.
Does your party need a Cult Leader, a Mall Santa, or a Goth Kid? These mismatched Party Guest cards feature a Base Point Value, a color that corresponds to one or more Party Theme types, and a set of Likes and Dislikes.
Sabotage your friends’ VIP lists! Effect Cards are special cards that can give you an advantage during a round. Each Effect card lists an effect that you can use as soon as you reveal it (unless otherwise specified). Some Effect cards are also Party Guest cards and remain in your Party Area after you use their effects.
The Score Tracker is the board on which you track how badly you are beating your friends.
Your Party Hat is your game piece that you’ll use to keep track of your score. It also doubles as a stylish hat for your finger.
We launched our first game, Unstable Unicorns, in 2017, and have been obsessed with making games ever since. All of our games are created by a team of in-house game developers and artists who pride themselves on making games that walk the line between adorable and diabolical. Keep an eye out for jokes and Easter eggs as you play, and you may find some delightful details.
While TeeTurtle’s games can be brutal and vicious, we actually create them to bring people together. After all, the strongest friendships begin with good old-fashioned power struggles during game night. Our games are created to be accessible and easy to learn for new players, but complex enough to keep seasoned veterans intrigued for years to come.
